Abstract

Enterprise technology pricing has evolved through distinct phases. Each phase reflects fundamental shiftsin how value gets perceived across technology industries, and the pre-cloud period established ownershipcentric frameworks. Physical hardware attributes governed pricing structures through per-socket and per device metrics during earlier decades.
