Hybrid cryptosystems combining various primitives (ARX operations, S-box substitution, Feistel networkstructures) are becoming a promising compromise for providing security over low-resource embeddedsystems and cloud storage environments. Recent work demonstrates that single-paradigm algorithms arefrequently compromised in terms of efficiency and security against differential, linear, and side-channel attacks.
