Abstract

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary malignancy of the liver and remains amajor cause of cancer-related mortality globally. In Egypt, HCC presents a significant public health challenge dueto its high incidence, particularly among males. Sorafenib, an orally administered multikinase inhibitor, has becomethe standard first-line systemic therapy for advanced HCC. However, overall survival rates remain limited, andoutcomes vary substantially depending on clinicopathological factors.
